Performing Ensembles
The Lipscomb University Department of Music offers a number of large and small performing ensembles to provide a variety of experiences for our music majors, to give a creative outlet to non-major student musicians, and to contribute to the overall cultural life of the campus and the university community. Chamber Ensembles is a course offered every semester under the supervision of Dr. Jerome Reed. It typically comprises the String Ensemble and the Guitar Ensemble, but may include woodwind and brass ensembles depending on student interest. Chamber Singers, offered on demand, specializes in repertoire for small vocal ensemble. The New Music Ensemble, also offered on demand, provides an outlet for student composers in non-traditional media. A Seminar in Music Performance may be offered on demand for special methods classes such as Class Recorder.A Cappella Singers
