11/5/2009
TBA

The musical "Guys and Dolls" will be presented by Abe Burrows in Collins/ Alumni Auditorium, November 5 - 8.

Set in Damon Runyon's mythical New York City, this oddball romantic comedy — considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy — soars with the spirit of Broadway as it introduces us to a cast of vivid characters who have become legends in the canon. Sarah Brown is the upright but uptight "mission doll," out to reform the evildoers of Times Square. Sky Masterson is the slick, high-rolling gambler who woos her on a bet and ends up falling in love. Adelaide is the chronically ill nightclub performer whose condition is brought on by the fact she's been engaged to the same man for 14 years. And, Nathan Detroit, her devoted fiance, is desperate as always to find a spot for his infamous floating crap game.

Ticket prices are $15. Student may attend for $5.

There will be a special performance on Nov. 5 for students and deaf patrons. Nov. 6-8 are the dates for the general audience.

This play is suitable for all ages. For more information call 615.966.5150.
